Summary
Cost Engineer
Morson are recruiting to support our Barrow-in-Furness based defence client with the Cost Engineer requirement. This role will be on a hybrid basis, 3 days on site in Barrow. The rate is £63.40 /hour via Umbrella.
The Cost Engineer will be the lead for cost control across the AVC project. Ensuring BAE are keeping to budget on a day to day basis. The Cost Engineer will also update the spend forecast and have the ability to articulate any cost variances. The Cost Engineer will also develop the estimate of completion (EAC).
Knowledge
Ideally someone with experience as a Cost Lead Expert on Dreadnought (desirable). If not Dreadnought other similar industries – i.e Oil & Gas. Looking for some logic based approach.
Skills
Fluent in Excel – SAP would be desirable. Faimilarity with planning tools such as P6 would be advantagoues but not essential.
Qualifications
Ideally some form of PM qualification but not essential.
