The role:
We are seeking a self motivated, ambitious Accounts Assistant to join our team. Reporting to our experienced Financial Controller and working closely with the wider team you will be responsible for key parts of the finance function, supporting our fast growing scale-up business across multiple geographies and business segments. With six entities in four countries, we operate a busy and multi currency finance function which needs someone who is able to thrive in a fast paced and busy environment, juggling multiple priorities.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the processes across our group, supporting our accounts payable process, taking ownership of ensuring supplier invoices are processed and paid on time. You will also help monitor and report on key spend lines such as cloud server spending and IT costs.
We are a small team so expect exposure to a variety of areas including; management reporting and analysis, annual audit and statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, banking and cash management. You will also be assisting in our London office ad hoc where required on office maintenance and IT systems.
You will also support the Finance team to maintain our ledgers and help with the monthly close process, reporting and annual audit as well as some wider operational support and administration.

Key responsibilities:
Managing our Accounts Payable process, supplier queries and payments
Accurate recording of supplier invoices, working across the business to ensure accuracy
Preparing payment runs in multiple currencies and entities
Month end accounting close and reporting, reviewing P&Ls
Managing our Accounts Payable process
Balance sheet reconciliations
Cost reporting and analysis, reporting on key operating cost lines
Support the finance team on annual audit and ad hoc reporting
Managing routine expense / card payments and procurement, booking flights & hotels
Operational support in our Putney office, assisting with routine IT issues or directing them as appropriate to our external supplier as appropriate
Maintaining our fixed asset register

Requirements
Experience and skills:
A couple of years experience in a finance role with involvement in the accounts payable and banking processes
Experience of working in a multi currency / multi entity environment is a big plus
French language skills are another (big) plus
A degree (2:1 or better) and/or accounting technical qualification such as AAT. A desire to complete an accounting qualification is preferred, and we can help facilitate your learning
Proficient use of Excel, knowledge of key formulae
Exposure to Xero is a plus but...we can teach you this
