Pay: Scale 3 (scp 7-8) £26,403 to £26,824 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday with overtime requirement 1 in 3 weekends

Based in the Amenity Cleansing Section at Council’s Salthill Depot in Clitheroe, you will be part of a small team responsible for ensuring that roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces are kept clean.

Picking up litter and sweeping streets, you will utilise equipment consistent with Street Cleansing requirements and ensure that all activities comply with the Council’s Health and Safety policy and the Safety at Street Works Code of Practice.

A full driving licence is essential and must include categories B, and B1.

It is a requirement of the post that overtime is worked on a rota basis – Saturday and Sunday on 1 in 3 weekends – and ad hoc cover at other times for absences/leave etc. Weekend hours are 6 am onwards for 2.5 hours on Saturday and 6 am onwards for 3 hours on Sunday.

Knowledge of the area is desirable.
