We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team, working with children aged 6mths-2years. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality early education and care in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports every child’s development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and evaluate age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
Provide a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment for children aged 6mths-2years
Support children’s learning and development through play, observation and interaction
Observe, assess and record children’s progress, contributing to learning journals and assessments
Promote children’s emotional wellbeing, independence and positive behaviour
Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment, adhering to safeguarding and health & safety policies
Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues
Build positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing information about children’s development
Follow all nursery policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements at all times
Requirements:
A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
Experience working with children aged 6mths-2years (desirable)
Sound knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work full-time hours across a 48-week year
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
