Hello its Louisa from WorkforceFinance Team, Finance | Workforce Staffing I am a Specialist Recruiter within the Accountancy Space, I am excited to present this fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Manager to join a growing and dynamic accountancy practice leading and helping to support their exisiting accounts department.
This role provides the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, work closely with senior management, and play a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of a well-established company. Key Responsibilities
• Review financial statements for companies and sole traders
• Review and ensure accuracy of corporation tax returns
• Draft advice and reports with support from Senior Managers and Directors
• Support with personal tax filings, providing accurate and timely advice to clients
• Maintain a solid understanding of financial statement disclosures
• Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, becoming the first point of contact for all related matters
• Coordinate with clients on their deadlines and other requirements
• Assist Senior Managers and Directors in meeting key deadlines across Accounts, Tax, VAT, Payroll, and Company Secretarial matters
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information where necessary
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor
• Provide assistance to clients with ad hoc queries relating to financial matters and interpreting financial results
• Support clients in setting up and developing internal systems, controls, and implementing suitable accounting software
• Confidently communicate technical tax and financial knowledge to reassure and guide clients
• Mentor and support the development of senior associates and supervisors within the team
Attributes, Requirements, Skills
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in practice
• Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing your own portfolio of clients
• Committed to maintaining high technical standards and staying up-to-date with industry developments
• Proficiency in using Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Familiarity with Xero
• Experience with accounting software such as Iris, Alpha, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 would be an advantage
• A solid awareness of technology and its application in the accountancy sector
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to apply relevant skills in new and changing scenarios
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and supportive approach to working with others
• Strong ability to work under pressure, with a focus on accuracy and detail
• Demonstrated excellent analytical and research skills
