Higher Level Teaching Assistant
37 hours per week, term time plus two weeks
Salary: Grade F Point 17-23
Pro rata: £27,248 - £30,245 p.a.
Start date: as soon as possible

The Trustees and the Headteacher of Lever Edge Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an experienced, committed and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will play a key role in teaching and learning within the school.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the academy. You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to individuals, small groups or whole classes. You will also contribute to assessment, lead interventions and may manage other support staff or develop a specialist area of expertise.

Key responsibilities:

- Support teaching, learning and assessment in collaboration with teachers
- Deliver elements of lessons and lead whole sessions under teacher direction
- Contribute to planning and monitoring pupil progress
- Provide continuity during teacher absences
- Support pastoral care and pupil wellbeing

We are looking for:

- HLTA status or equivalent Level 3 qualification - GCSE (A*-C 9-4) in Maths and English - Experience of delivery whole class lessons and leading small groups - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Passion for inclusive education and safeguarding
