Summary
Participate in the distribution of stock medicines and vaccines to wards, departments, community clinics, and external sites to ensure adequate stock levels and minimise wastage. Assist with issuing, checking, and receipting stock orders for Wexham Park, Heatherwood Hospital, and other serviced units. Contribute to ward top-up services, ensuring stock is appropriate, in date, and maintained at agreed levels, including review of ward stock profiles in liaison with ward staff. Support stock management within automated drug cabinets (Omnicell). Liaise with Pharmacy Purchasing to follow up outstanding orders and manage shortages. Assist in monitoring service quality, managing emergency kits, maintaining safe storage conditions, and completing environmental and temperature monitoring records. Support supervision, training, rota cover, record keeping, waste management, SOP compliance, and deputise for senior staff as required.
