We're supporting a welcoming and well-established college in Walsall that is seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.
In this role, you'll be supporting 16-19-year-old learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they have access to the guidance, support, and resources needed to succeed. This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive, student-focused environment.

Key responsibilities may include:

Providing pastoral and academic support to students

Monitoring attendance, behaviour, and engagement

Supporting learners with additional needs

Working closely with teaching staff, parents/carers, and support services

Maintaining accurate student records and reports
Requirements:

Previous experience in a student support, pastoral, or learner support role (education setting preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with young people

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
