Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is a 130 bedroom hotel established in 2020. Situated on the doorstep of Inverness Airport, we aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment throughout the bar/bistro, one meeting room and a gymnasium. Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, which is the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group.
Job Description
As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our hotel. You will lead by example, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with department heads to drive revenue, maintain high service standards, and create a positive, engaging environment for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve hotel targets, including people, service, sustainability, health & safety, brand standards, revenue, and profit.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee delivery of exceptional guest service, ensuring memorable experiences.
Lead and mentor Heads of Department, fostering development and motivation.
Optimise hotel procedures to maintain consistent high standards.
Support the General Manager in team coaching, budget setting, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Revenue, and Sales teams to drive commercial success.
Ensure Duty Managers are trained and perform in line with expectations.
Oversee capital expenditure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of upselling, cross-selling, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, fire safety, and life safety standards.
Participate in and lead key meetings, such as departmental and operational reviews.
Requirements
Prior experience in a similar role within the hotel industry.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Passion for delivering exceptional guest service with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in hotel management systems and computer skills.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
