Summary
We are recruiting for 2 Registered Nurses to join the In-patients Unit at our Outstanding CQC rated hospice in Newcastle. Salary: Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 5 £31,049 - £37,796 per annum (pro rata) + enhancements Hours/Contract: Permanent 1 x Full Time (37.5 hours per week) and 1 x Part Time (36 hours per week) Based: Newcastle Hospice In Patients Unit Closing date: 19th January 2026 Interview date: 4th February 2026 Being a Nurse at Marie Curie is incredibly rewarding on many levels. As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care needs for patients in a palliative care setting, helping them live their final days with dignity. You'll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMCs and the Charity's policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers. What are we looking for RGN level 1 registration Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life.
