Summary
Fairwood Engineering is a small precision engineering business in Port Talbot. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to provide bespoke, precision products at a high quality consistently.
Vacancy available for a Driver/Handyman/Workshop Operative to help keep the workshop clean and tidy and deliver all produced goods in a small van.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering and picking up goods from customers/suppliers throughout South Wales, with the occasional delivery further afield.
- Performing daily maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and some basic workshop machinery
- Maintaining a basic standard of cleanliness throughout the workshop
- Occasional D.I.Y and groundskeeping jobs around the facility as required
- Performing regular coolant concentration checks on the machinery
- Emptying of bins (offices and workshop)
- Use of counterbalance forklift truck (License Essential)
- Occasional semi-skilled machine operation (Training provided)
Full, clean, driving license is essential (will be checked upon successful application). Due to our insurance restrictions, we cannot employ a driver under 30 years of age.
Position Permanent, immediate start available, Hours of work are: 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 1.30pm Friday. Occasional overtime available.
25 days holiday plus statutory holidays.
