Summary

18 hours per week

Are you someone who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments? The Adelaide Resource Centre is looking for a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our Maintenance Team, helping us keep our services running smoothly and our outdoor spaces looking their best.

In this varied role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our site remains safe, compliant and fit for purpose, all while upholding the highest standards of equality, dignity and professionalism. From weekly safety checks to supporting fire drill procedures, you’ll be an essential part of a team that puts people first.

Your day-to-day work will be wonderfully diverse. You’ll take responsibility for general gardening and grounds maintenance, cutting grass, trimming hedges, tending flower beds and keeping paths clear, while also carrying out minor repairs across our buildings. Whether you’re unblocking drains, replacing washers, fixing door handles or completing small electrical tasks such as changing bulbs and PAT testing, your practical skills will help keep our services running smoothly. You’ll also ensure tools, equipment and chemicals are stored safely and securely at all times.

You will also be called upon to support the transportation of people to and from their homes or appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout. This includes daily vehicle checks, assisting passengers and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Above all, you’ll be someone who communicates well, reports incidents promptly and knows when to call in specialist support. In return, you’ll join a supportive team, develop a broad skill set and play a meaningful role in supporting your community.
