Summary

Contract: Approx. 3 months

The Assistive Technology (Telecare) Manager will provide short-term leadership of the Assistive Technology service, ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of telecare and assistive technology support to residents. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and maintaining service performance during the interim period.

The post holder will lead and support the Assistive Technology team, ensuring assessments, installations, monitoring, and responses are delivered in line with statutory requirements, Telecare Services Association (TSA) standards, and council policies. The role involves close working with Adult Social Care, health professionals, and other internal and external partners to ensure a joined-up and person-centred service.

Key responsibilities include operational management of the service, performance monitoring, quality assurance, staff supervision, and ensuring equipment and processes support residents to live safely and independently in their own homes. The manager will also provide professional advice, manage risks, respond to service issues, and support service continuity and improvement.

Essential requirement:
Candidates must have proven management experience within an Assistive Technology / Telecare service. Applicants without direct Assistive Technology or Telecare experience will not be considered.

Strong leadership skills, knowledge of telecare service delivery, and experience working within adult social care or health-related services are essential.
