We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Contract Surveyor (Fire) to join our Compliance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fire safety across our properties and delivering high-quality compliance programmes. If you have strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and thrive in an admin-heavy role, we’d love to hear from you.About the role As Contract Surveyor (Fire), you’ll manage fire compliance programmes and remedial works, ensuring safety standards are met across our properties. You’ll oversee FRA actions, liaise with contractors, and handle contract administration, including scheduling, inspections, and maintaining accurate records in systems such as C365 and QLx. This is a full-time, permanent role working 36.25 hours per week, based at our Leyland office with agile working, and will involve nationwide travel when required. You’ll need strong administrative skills, confidence using IT systems (including Excel), and a good working knowledge of Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting systems.What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: Essential HNC/HND/Degree in Building Studies, RICS or equivalent technical experience, or demonstrable knowledge of property compliance and maintenance.Good working knowledge of Fire Alarm systems (BS5839-6 & BS5839-1) and Emergency Lighting standards.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple programmes and deadlines.Excellent communication skills and confidence in using IT systems, including Excel. Desirable Professional membership of a relevant construction/fire industry body (e.g., MRICS, IFE). Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business purposes. Experience with compliance software and housing management systems. Why Progress?
