Summary

About the role:

Would you like to play a key role in supporting the University’s Biomedical Research Facility, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with research standards and supporting animal research across the university?

If you are a confident and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced research environment, we would like to hear from you.

You will have experience in administrative support, ideally within a scientific or research setting. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You should be proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy.

The role is varied and includes:

Acting as the first point of contact for BRF enquiries.
Supporting researchers and technical staff with administrative processes.
Maintaining accurate records and databases related to research projects, staff training, and compliance.
Assisting with scheduling, procurement, and documentation for the facility.
Facilitating and taking minutes at high level meetings
Ensuring adherence to University and Home Office regulatory standards.
You will use a range of IT systems for data entry, reporting, and communication, so confidence with technology is important.
