Summary
Be responsible for ensuring that patient care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner to facilitate safe practice and timely flow through the ward To support the Band 5 Team and existing nursing team as well as being a mentor and reference for the junior nursing staff Will work to ensure standardisation of practice and effective delivery of care Support recruitment and retention of nursing staff Proactively manage staff sickness Acting as a role model, employ professional behaviour that encourages and coaches their team members to challenge and seek opportunities within their role Ensure processes are in place to facilitate effective communication with all disciplines, patients and relatives Leading and participating in audit locally and nationally Leading participation in research and embedding this into practice Working as part of the MD Team Building relationships with patients and their families Working collaboratively with internal and external services Actively leading service development and participating in implementing change when required
