We are currently looking for Baristas to join our team in Highbury & Islington. The ideal candidates will have strong barista experience and passion for coffee and the industry, with the drive to grow within the company. We are looking for baristas with a warm personality and great attitude, proactive with an eye for quality, detail, speed and service. include: Making excellent coffee (dialling in, pulling shots, steaming and pouring milk), excellent customer service, speed of service.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation: Making hot/cold drinks (coffee, espresso, teas, specialty drinks) following recipes and techniques.
Customer Service: Greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments (POS system), answering questions, and making recommendations.
Food Service: Preparing and serving pastries, sandwiches, or other light snacks.
Cleanliness & Maintenance: Sanitizing work areas, equipment, and seating; restocking cups, beans, and other supplies; following food safety rules.
Operations: Opening/closing tasks, inventory, and handling cash/credit transactions.
Essential Skills & Traits:
Customer Focus: Friendly, approachable, great communication, and strong service skills.
Detail-Oriented: Accuracy in orders and drink preparation, high hygiene standards.
Multitasking: Working efficiently in busy environments.
Teamwork: Collaborating with staff for a smooth customer experience.
Passion for Coffee: Willingness to learn about coffee and new techniques.
