Summary
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Web Developer and Designer within the Web Team at the University.
In this position you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the University to deliver a world class digital experience. You will want to bring your enthusiasm, expertise and experience to bear in delivering new and innovative digital experiences for users of the University’s core websites. You will play a key role in the ongoing development of our digital presence, and will deliver creative and accessible solutions for our end users.
You will have experience developing and designing enterprise websites in a range of technologies including HTML, CSS/Sass and JavaScript including frameworks. You will be comfortable following the principles and techniques of UX design (wireframing, user journeys, user testing) to deliver the organisation’s objectives. Working with the team you will be designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function. Experience of working in an agile DevOps CI/CD environment would be advantageous. A solid understanding of accessibility best practice and standards would be beneficial.
In addition to working in the Web team you will also be a key member of a larger full stack team who develop and support a range of core University systems including the Staff and Student portal (Pegasus), Integration Hub, University SharePoint and DNN applications.
