Summary

We are about to see the biggest changes to waste and recycling which will impact our residents in Ipswich and all our businesses.

It’s an exciting time to join us!

We are seeking various operational positions to join us in March 2026 and to be part the Council’s refuse and cleansing team.

Refuse Cat C Drivers

Refuse Relief Drivers

You will need

Category C driving licence and driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card
To be able to load refuse bins each day
Confidence in using handheld tablets to record information (training will be provided)
Able to demonstrate self-awareness and confident approach to health and safety
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Effective communications skills
Experience in working as a team with a can-do attitude
Early starts from 5am and variations to finishing times required.

These opportunities are full time and part time (minimum of 2 days a week)
