Summary
We are seeking a Trainee Workshop Assistant to support our experienced welder/fabricator within our busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical skills in fabrication and steelwork while working as part of a supportive and skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
Measuring and cutting steel materials
Drilling, basic fabrication and workshop assistance
Supporting the welder/fabricator with day-to-day tasks
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Assisting senior staff on occasional site visits, including taking measurements and delivering parts
What We’re Looking For
Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
Some prior experience with steelwork or tools is beneficial, though not essential
Willingness to travel to sites when required
Own transport required for commuting to and from the workshop
