Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and domain-expert Business Analyst to bridge the gap between complex global commodities trading operations and the technical development of Trade Product , an enterprise AI-powered trading platform. The ideal candidate will translate the requirements into actionable functional specifications for AI and Natural Language Machine (NLM) components. This role requires a professional who can synthesize market intelligence, risk exposure, and regulatory standards into a cohesive intelligence layer that delivers predictive insights and real-time decision support for traders and executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Engineering: Lead discovery workshops to define user stories and functional requirements for the conversational AI interface and the "Natural Language Machine" intelligence flow.
Trading & Risk Logic: Collaborate with stakeholders to define logic for commodity price forecasting (short/medium/long term), margin optimization, and stress testing scenarios.
Workflow Automation: Map and document end-to-end trade lifecycles, including automated trade approvals, contract management, and exception-based alerting systems.
Data Ingestion Strategy: Identify and define data mapping requirements for diverse sources, including ERP systems, FX feeds, logistics data, and market news feeds.
AI Explainability & Governance: Define the requirements for "Explainable AI" outputs to ensure all platform-generated insights are transparent, auditable, and human-readable.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all functional designs align with international regulatory environments and UAE data protection standards.
Intelligence Layer Integration: Document requirements for geopolitical, shipping, and market sentiment analysis to be integrated into the risk and intelligence engines.
UAT & Training: Spearhead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and lead user training sessions during the final project delivery phases to ensure successful platform adoption.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field with a strong analytical focus.
Experience: Minimum 5–7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, specifically within the commodities trading, Fintech, or AI sectors.
Core Tech Stack: Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), SQL for data analysis, and business process modeling notation (BPMN).
Domain Expertise: Expert understanding of global trade operations, including FX risk, shipping logistics, and counterparty credit exposure.
AI/ML Familiarity: Strong conceptual understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLM orchestration, and how AI can be applied to predictive modeling.
Data Handling: Mastery of interpreting complex datasets and translating them into business-centric dashboards and conversational UI requirements.
Professional Attributes: Exceptional problem-solving skills, detail-oriented documentation habits, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, milestone-driven environment.
Communication: Strong ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and act as a primary liaison between UK-based technical teams and UAE-based business stakeholders.
