An existing opportunity has arisen in Pharmacy Cancer Services at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. We are seeking a Specialist Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Cancer Service team.
This is a 12 months maternity cover post.
You will provide a specialist pharmacy service to the oncology and clinical haematology specialties, working closely with the Senior Specialist Pharmacists and multidisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care.
Our ideal candidate will be:
• interested in helping us develop and deliver our vision for a patient-focussed clinical pharmacy service
• able to drive directorate and departmental clinical governance issues, clinical audit, practice research, service improvement projects and more
• keen to further their career within cancer services
• Responsible for evaluating, developing, maintaining, and delivering a specialist clinical pharmacy service and meeting the pharmaceutical care needs for patients with cancer being treated by the Oncologists and the Haematologists at home, within the chemotherapy units or as inpatients across LNWUH sites.
• Participate in the provision of chemotherapy services such as medicines funding, development of chemotherapy protocols and electronic prescribing system.
• Develops and guides audit of medicines use to treat cancer and other supportive medicines and undertakes research as appropriate.
