Summary
Part-time role, 32 hours a week (Monday - Thursday)

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster. You will work a dual role that provides high quality and engaging IGCSE and Functional Skills English tuition alongside ensuring that neurodivergent (ND) learners and those with Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs) are fully supported throughout their learning journey and time in service.
This is a part-time role working 32 hours a week Monday to Thursday.
What you'll be doing
• Delivering dynamic and engaging IGCSE, Functional Skills and Education for Promotion English tuition (or equivalents in devolved regions) - this will be classroom and remote teaching
• Coordinating and providing administrative support to examinations.
• Providing support, including as a personal tutor, as required to individuals with their English learning
• Liaising with personnel referring individuals for neurodiversity and SpLD assessment and support
• Conducting screening to identify typical neurodiversity/SpLD traits (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia) and recommending any further action based on the results (including referrals to suitably qualified professionals and support organisations)
• Processing and authorising neurodiversity/SpLD concessions for internal examinations
What we're looking for:
Essential:
• Min of level 3 or equivalent in Teaching
• Experience of Teaching English language
• Minimum of level 3 in English (minimum of GCSE in English)
• Experience of working with neurodiverse pupils
Desirable:
• Any experience of teaching functional skills would be desirable (Maths/English/IT)
• Any experience of teaching adults/further education would be highly desirable
• Ideally hold SpLD level 5 but this can be done as part of the role
