Summary
A brand new opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Support person to join the Instrumentation Team for our growing client who based who are based in rural Cambridgeshire and close to Royston. We are seeking someone who is keen to forge a career in Technical Sales in this critical supporting role. The role
Primarily, this role will be supporting the internal and external sales activities for the commercial instrumentation team. You will cover a wide range of administrative duties to not only support the sales teams daily activities, but also those of the wider commercial team. Helping to deliver growth for the company as a whole.
Reporting to the Head of Instrumentation, this position is responsible for supporting sales and commercial related activities for the company’s range of personal, portable and fixed gas detection instruments via distribution channels and directly to end users.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Acting as first point of contact for new sales enquiries
• Manage and support existing customer requests and relationships
• Manage and own the internal CRM system
• Support live sales enquiries with guidance for the instrumentation team as required
• Distribute sales enquiries with guidance to the relevant sales channels
• Support daily activities of the sales team
• Working with the wider commercial team to ensure customers receive excellent customer service and support
• Gathering market intelligence and feeding it into the business
• Supporting order management and raising sales quotes and orders
• Support product management with general tasks
• Provide assistance with hosting customers and visitors as required
• Providing administrative support for the wider team
The Person
For this interesting role we are seeking someone with the following skills and attributes
• Ideally, previous experience within a Sales Supporting role
• Some experience of problem solving within a Technical Environment would be highly desirable but not essential
• A good technical predisposition and a good degree of commercial acumen and the desire to learn
• A understanding for the pressures in achieving Sales Targets would be helpful too
• The ability to convey complex technical topics with simplicity both in conversation and via email
• Knowledge of CRM, ideally HubSpot would be helpful
• A keen leaner who has a passion for gaining new skills
• Goal orientated and proactive in problem solving
• The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non technical people
• Solid Administration skills with exceptional attention to detail
• A brilliant team player who is happy to work collaboratively
Details
This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis and ideally will be based out of the office. Working for a friendly and busy team. Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 15:45 (with 45 Minutes unpaid lunch)
The salary offered is depending on experience plus benefits
