Summary
In this post the Specialty Doctor will participate in the work of the Older Adult Psychiatry team in a large, general teaching hospital. He/she will undertake supervised psychiatric assessment and treatment of patients. The post holder will work across all sub-teams ( Memory Assessment Service, Recovery Support Team and Care Home Liaison Service) to provide a high quality of care with an on-going commitment to strive for the highest standard of clinical care as well as the need to maximise service user and carer experience drawing on both knowledge and Evidence Based Practice. Richmond Mental Health Services for Older People provide specialist assessments and care for those aged over 75 years, and those with a confirmed diagnosis of dementia of all ages, although there is flexibility depending on need.
