For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team via . We are looking for a Recovery Worker to join our Criminal Justice team. Your base will be Liskeard. As a member of our team you will be supporting people who access the service for help with their drug or alcohol use. This exciting role will also continue to allow us to improve the work we have already developed around supporting clients within the criminal justice system. The role will include covering the courts, prisons and custody suites on a regular basis; working with people awarded a community sentence where mental health, drugs and/or alcohol have been identified; work closely and collaborate with partner agencies to manage these orders; work directly with individuals released from prison and support multi-agency plans around them. We are looking for people who have previously worked with individuals in relation to substance misuse or who have equivalent experience working in health, criminal justice or social care settings. Essential Skills You will have excellent communication and report writing skills, be able to collaboratively work as part of a team and to independently manage a caseload. You may have an awareness of working in a trauma informed way (while this is desirable, training will be provided). Most of all you will demonstrate the enthusiasm to motivate our service users to make the changes they want and need to change their lives for the better. Have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months Have demonstrable experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist setting Successful track record of working or volunteering with people who have experienced substance misuse issues Have a driving license with access to a vehicle. You will need to ensure business use is added to your insurance policy.
