Summary
Take a family liaison role in engaging with the bereaved families and ensuring that they understand the Child Death Review process in collaboration with key worker roles. Co-ordinate bereavement support for all families by working in partnership e.g. with the Trust bereavement midwives, Chaplaincy service as well as other statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure that the right level of holistic bereavement support is provided. Act as the single point of contact for CHFT in the delivery of bereavement support for families. Ensure that resources on bereavement services are available e.g., leaflets, signposting to community based organisations which reflect the diverse ethnic, linguistic, and cultural needs of the local population.
