We are seeking an experienced and motivated MSK Specialist Podiatristto join our outstanding team atDCHS.

This is an exciting opportunity to combinemusculoskeletal expertisewith a proactive approach tohigh-risk foot care and prevention. You will play a key role in developing this part of our service, helping our patient population reduce the risk of limb-threatening diabetic foot problems through early intervention and evidence-based care.
What We’re Looking For
• HCPC registered Podiatrist with significant MSK experience.
• A passion for patient care and improving outcomes in diabetic foot health.
• Strong skills in biomechanics, orthoses, and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to lead, innovate, and work collaboratively


What You’ll Do
• Deliver specialist MSK podiatry care for patients with acute and chronic foot pathologies across community clinics and local hospital settings.
• Take a lead indeveloping MSK Hubs, working alongside colleagues to provide accessible, timely, and high-quality services.
• Coach and mentor colleagues and apprentice podiatrists, sharing your expertise to build a strong, skilled workforce.
• Support diabetic footcare initiatives aimed at preventing active foot disease and improving long-term outcomes.
• Provide advanced biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescriptions, and tailored treatment plans.
• Develop outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of MSK podiatry interventions


Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
