Summary
Uniserve seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our transport team. You will be responsible for delivering goods across the UK (and occasionally Europe), ensuring all loads are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all transport regulations. This role involves tramping, meaning nights out in the vehicle will be required.
Salary: £41,463 annually.
Shift pattern: Typically Monday to Friday (may include weekends depending on workload) with regular tramping required.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle for nationwide deliveries and collections.
Secure, inspect, and maintain loads to prevent damage or movement in transit.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
Comply with all DVSA, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and returned promptly.
Maintain excellent communication with transport planners and the operations team.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and site personnel.
Keep your vehicle clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
Requirements
Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
HGV driving experience (preferred).
Excellent understanding of UK road transport laws and regulations.
Flexible attitude to working hours and overnight stays.
Good communication and time management skills.
