What You’ll Do: Take Ownership of Your Shift

As a Senior Carer, you are the go-to leader on your shift. You’ll guide, motivate, and oversee your team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care, while maintaining accountability for all aspects of the residents’ experience.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead the shift: coordinate and support the team, ensuring smooth running of all care and operational tasks
  • Write care plans, complete reviews, and deliver personalised care
  • Oversee safe medication administration and complete MCA assessments
  • Champion training initiatives, including Train the Trainer for moving & handling, and act as a Fire Marshal
  • Foster effective communication with residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring a positive, accountable team culture

Who We’re Looking For

  • Inspirational leadership experience in a care setting
  • Proven ability in care planning, reviews, and delivering person-centred care
  • Experience with medication administration and MCA assessments
  • Passion for staff development, training, and safety initiatives
  • Strong organisational, communication, and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to take ownership and be accountable for the running of the shift
