Shape the Future: KS2 Teacher in Blackpool!

Are you an ambitious Key Stage 2 Teacher (QTS) looking to inspire older primary pupils to reach their full potential? We are seeking dynamic and dedicated educators to join supportive primary schools across Blackpool starting in January 2026.

In a town famous for its vibrant energy and community focus, your role in KS2 will be pivotal. From helping Year 3 students build their independent study skills to guiding Year 6 through their final primary year and SATs, you will lead a classroom where critical thinking is encouraged and academic confidence is built. This is your chance to deliver a broad curriculum that prepares Blackpool's children for the transition to secondary school and the world beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, challenging lessons across the KS2 curriculum (Years 3-6).

  • Prepare pupils for statutory assessments (SATs) with a balanced focus on progress and wellbeing.

  • Create an inclusive learning environment that caters to a wide range of abilities and needs.

  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that foster respect and a love for learning.

  • Analyse student data to identify gaps in learning and provide targeted interventions.

  • Lead and inspire classroom support staff to maximize student achievement.

  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including coastal-themed outdoor learning and extra-curricular clubs.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.

  • Strong subject knowledge across core and foundation subjects.

  • Ability to use "Assessment for Learning" to drive student outcomes.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
