Summary

Deputy Manager (Clinical)

£24 per hour | Nursing Home

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded care provider for an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to join one of their nursing homes.

This is a key leadership role supporting the Home Manager in delivering safe, effective and compassionate nursing care, in line with CQC standards, best practice and company policies. You’ll provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, ensuring residents receive person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice and wellbeing.

In the absence of the Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the clinical governance and day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance and quality standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care staff

  • Supporting the Home Manager with the effective running of the service

  • Leading on clinical governance, audits and quality assurance

  • Reviewing, updating and overseeing care plans

  • Managing medication administration and ensuring accurate documentation

  • Supporting pre-admission assessments, risk assessments and ongoing reviews

  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, families and external agencies

  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures and referral pathways are followed

    About you:
    • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience (essential)

    • Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager (Clinical)

    • Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance

    • Confident engaging with residents and families to deliver high-quality care

    • Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external professionals

    • Passionate about person-centred care and involving residents and families in care planning

      What’s on offer:
      • £24 per hour

      • Supportive and values-led working environment

      • Strong leadership support and clear clinical governance structures

      • Ongoing training and development opportunities

      • The opportunity to make a real difference to residents’ lives

If you’re an experienced clinical leader looking for a rewarding Deputy Manager role where quality of care truly matters, I’d be keen to discuss this opportunity with you in confidence.
