HB Accident Repair Network is recruiting an experienced Production Manager with a proven automotive accident repair background to join our state-of-the-art repair centre in Ellesmere Port.
This role is not suitable for candidates without hands-on experience in automotive body repair environments. We are specifically seeking someone who understands the realities of managing workflow, technicians, and quality within a busy accident repair workshop.
The role
As Production Manager, you will take ownership of workshop flow and performance, ensuring vehicles move efficiently through the repair process while meeting customer, insurer, and SLA expectations.
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the end-to-end flow of vehicles through the accident repair process
• Coordinating technicians and workshop resources to maximise efficiency and quality
• Monitoring repair progress to ensure deadlines, SLAs, and customer expectations are met
• Liaising closely with front-of-house teams, customers, and work providers
• Carrying out quality control inspections on completed repairs
• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards across the workshop
Essential experience (automotive required)
To be considered, you must have:
• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Workshop Controller, or similar role within an automotive accident repair centre
• Strong knowledge of all body repair processes and procedures
• Experience managing technicians in a bodyshop or vehicle repair environment
• Working knowledge of Audatex and/or GT Motive
• Confidence using Microsoft Office
• The ability to work calmly under pressure in a high-volume repair setting
