About Last Minute Productions UK
We are a dynamic creative agency partnering with government entities, luxury retail brands, and global tech giants to drive engagement through strategic content. We are looking for a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between "community and commerce," combining viral content creation with rigorous KPI analysis and strategic reporting.
Role Overview
As our Commercial Creative Director, you will lead the creative vision and strategic execution for our highest-profile accounts. This role requires a unique blend of creative direction and commercial strategy. You will be responsible not just for the visual output, but for the end-to-end content lifecycle—from concept to delivery—ensuring that creative campaigns drive tangible business growth and brand loyalty. You will also bring in partnership direction and strategy, as well as occasional business development to continue to build the organisation.
You will bring over a decade of experience in managing diverse portfolios, ranging from government organizations to luxury retail and global technology brands.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Creative Leadership: Lead high-budget, integrated B2B and B2C campaigns for global automotive and lifestyle brands, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
• Brand Revitalization: Orchestrate complete communication revamps for major retail clients, including overseeing the creation of new branding assets and social media overhauls to drive footfall and digital following.
• End-to-End Content Production: Manage the full production pipeline for diverse portfolios (including Government, Arts, and Retail), taking full ownership from initial ideation to final delivery.
• Event & Partnership Strategy: Act as the creative lead for strategic partnerships and large-scale events (e.g., diplomatic missions, design weeks, and pop culture conventions), aligning PR and marketing teams to maximize visitor numbers and brand visibility.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: utilize social analytics and rigorous reporting to inform creative decisions, bridging the gap between creative concepts and KPI success.
• Client & Portfolio Management: Manage key client relationships and oversee business unit profitability, ensuring client retention and acquisition across luxury and beauty sectors.
• Platform Innovation: Direct collaborations with social native platforms (e.g., Vamp) and influencers to deliver modern, platform-specific content strategies for tech clients.
• Business Development: Occasional business development to further grow the organisational capacity. This would include cold calls, outreach marketing and client management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Master’s degree in Advertising & Marketing is required.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in creative direction, digital media, and client management.
• Proven Track Record:
o Demonstrable success leading campaigns for major global brands.
o Experience growing social media communities significantly (e.g., increasing followings by 100%+ or generating viral content with 1M+ views).
• Sector Expertise: Extensive experience working with Luxury Retail, Government Organizations, and Automotive industries.
• Skills:
o Expertise in integrated social strategy and community building.
o Strong background in Customer Experience (CX) strategies and Consumer Insights.
o Proficiency in P&L management and business development.
Benefits & Perks
Pension Scheme: Company workplace pension scheme with employer contributions.
Annual Leave: 25 days holiday plus UK Bank Holidays
Private Healthcare: Basic private medical insurance plan
