Our client, a well-established joinery company based in St Ives, is looking for an experienced professional to join their talented workshop team on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm
As a Bench Joiner / Carpenter, you’ll take pride in creating one-of-a-kind joinery pieces from start to finish. You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped workshop where every day brings a new challenge. Your work will include:
Cutting and preparing timber to precise specifications
Manufacturing and assembling bespoke joinery ready for on-site installation
Reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately
Managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
Adapting designs to meet client requirements
Monitoring stock levels and reporting material defects
To be successful in this Bench Joiner role, you’ll have:
Proven experience as a Bench Joiner / Carpenter in bespoke joinery manufacturing
Strong understanding of both traditional and modern joinery techniques
Competence with hand tools and power tools
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
A solid awareness of Health & Safety practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
