We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Maths Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Tameside from January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping students build confidence, resilience and strong mathematical understanding, within a school that values high expectations, consistency and positive relationships.

The role involves teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within a supportive department that focuses on clear explanations, structured learning and embedding core skills. The position is full-time, initially until Easter, with the potential for extension.

The school is seeking someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and can teach Maths confidently at KS3 and KS4


  • Delivers clear, engaging and well-paced lessons that support progress for all learners


  • Maintains a calm, purposeful classroom with strong behaviour management


  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to department planning


  • Is committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing
