Summary
We are a privately run family home located in Rugeley, We cater for 29 clients.
The needs of our clients and the care and service we provide is paramount.
Usual shift pattern is 7am-3pm, 2-3 days a week including weekends.
Holiday & sickness to be covered.
Qualifications - Basic food and hygiene
Experience - Cooking and preparing Breakfast, Lunch, and Desserts for 29 elderly people at one sitting. Catering for various diets, eg Diabetics, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Vegan, Cultural,Dysphasia
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and serving meals in accordance with the menus
2 - Catering for any special diets or food needs to the clients
3- Ensuring that the quality and quantity of the meals produced meet the clients requirements and expectations.
4- Ensuring that sufficient food is left out of the pantry for meals prepared by care staff.
5- Baking home made pies and cakes.
6- Ensuring that the storage and production of foods meet all the necessary hygiene standards.
7- To ensure appropriate clothing/hair covering is worn at all times..
8- Food inventory is carried out and storage facility is secure.
9- Washing and storing implements, clients cutlery, crockery,pots,pans
10- Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and to ensure Environmental Health standards are met.
11- Taking and recording of fridge and freezer temperatures.-Cleaning of fridges & freezers.
12- Reporting any defects, deficiencies or safety hazards to the manager.
13- To observe safe practices and fire procedures of the home.
14- To complete daily cleaning tasks/Audits
15- To attend/complete all training relevant to job role.
