Responsibilities
Conduct thorough investigations and case preparation for criminal prosecutions.
Advise law enforcement agencies on legal matters and the application of criminal law.
Draft legal documents including charges, briefs, and submissions for court.
Represent the prosecution in court, presenting evidence and making legal arguments vigorously and effectively.
Engage with victims and witnesses to gather testimonies and provide support throughout the legal process.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and procedural rules during prosecutions.
Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the prosecution process.
Requirements
Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate in Criminal Law.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal prosecution or relevant legal experience.
Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and prosecution practices.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate legal arguments clearly.
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases effectively.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in legal practice.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking initiative and responsibility for individual cases.
