About the role

We're looking for experienced Support Workers to join our specialist supported living home in Edgware, London, earning £13.78 per hour. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with day shifts and waking night contracts offered. Typical shifts include 7:00am-2:30pm, 2:15pm-9:45pm, and 9:45pm-7:15am.

You'll work 2:1 with a young woman in her early 30s who lives in her own home. This is a role for someone emotionally resilient and confident in supporting complex behaviours. You'll help her feel safe, understood, and valued, supporting daily routines like meal preparation and personal care. Her interests include Barbie, Only Fools and Horses, animals, and local clubs so creativity and humour will help you build trust.

You'll follow a clear Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan and receive specialist training during induction. Consistency and patience are essential, this role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing needs, and maintain a positive, person-centred approach.

About you

You'll bring proven experience in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of distress. Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, are essential, along with the ability to use alternative communication methods. You'll be confident with personal care, medication administration, and record-keeping, and comfortable working flexibly across varied shifts. Emotional resilience, empathy, and a commitment to our values are key.
