Job Purpose
GoCarely is seeking a compassionate and reliable Urdu-speaking Support Worker / Care Assistant to provide person-centred domiciliary care to an elderly client within their own home.
The role involves supporting daily living needs, promoting independence, and providing emotional and practical support. The ability to communicate confidently in Urdu is essential to ensure comfort, understanding, and culturally appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care & Daily Living Support: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and toileting as required.
Support safe mobility within the home using appropriate techniques.
Maintain dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
2. Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional reassurance.
Engage the client in conversation and light activities to support wellbeing.
Communicate clearly and sensitively in Urdu.
3. Domestic & Practical Support: Assist with light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Support meal preparation and hydration in line with dietary needs.
4. Monitoring & Reporting: Observe and report changes in health, mood, or behaviour.
Maintain accurate care records in line with company requirements.
Follow agreed care plans and escalate concerns appropriately.
5. Professional Practice & Compliance: Adhere to GoCarely policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards.
Maintain a professional and respectful approach within the client’s home.
Attend mandatory training and supervision sessions.

Essential
Fluent Urdu speaking (essential)
Right to work in the UK
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Desirable
Previous experience in a care or support role
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it
Skills & Attributes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Commitment to confidentiality, dignity, and person-centred care
Working Hours
11 hours per week (part-time)
Shifts agreed based on client needs

Enhanced DBS check (required)
