Summary
To provide expert Diabetes dietary advice to patients and their carers including structured education and other education relevant to individual management of diabetes To take a lead role in managing, coordination and supporting the Insulin Pump service for the Trust, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. To take a lead role in the development and implementation of strategies in relation to the dietetic management of Diabetes in the acute and community settings and to monitor and evaluate progress in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. To be responsible for dietary policy in diabetes and to work as an integral part of the Diabetes Team and contribute to the policies for the team as a whole. To take the lead role in providing learning opportunities and developing resources, including pathways of care, for GPs, consultants and other health care professionals to facilitate dietetic knowledge of Diabetes. To support specialist consultant clinics, including ante-natal, and manage specific diabetes dietitian clinics. To support and line manage junior members of the diabetes dietetic workforce. To support student placements
