This position is ideal for a technician with solid all-round skills in vehicle maintenance and repair who wants to work in a professional, well-equipped environment. You will be part of a small, experienced team carrying out inspections, servicing, mechanical repairs, and basic diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles.
We are looking for someone reliable, motivated, and proud of their work, who values quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
Assist with brake, suspension, clutch, and exhaust repairs.
Fit and balance tyres when required.
Support diagnostic checks and fault finding using workshop equipment.
Follow job cards and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Communicate clearly with the workshop manager and office team regarding job progress.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Apprentice Technician.
Good understanding of basic vehicle systems and mechanical components.
Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
Own basic tools (specialist tools provided).
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
Additional training will be provided for the right candidate. MOT testing experience or diagnostic skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
