Summary
We are looking for an experienced equine apprentice to work at this established BE and BD venue.
Liles Equestrian has access to impressive facilities including all weather arenas with fibre track surface, dressage boards, show jumps, a BE cross country course and extensive off-road hacking.
Horses trained by Team Liles and Ben has a vast amount of experience producing young horses and progressing them up through the levels at both pure dressage and eventing. The yard current have 11 horses, all of either a high level or youngsters being backed and trained.
This opportunity can be riding or non riding, however, if you wish to do the riding pathway, your riding will need to be of a higher standard to suit their high level horses, and you will be assessed on your riding in your interview process.
Confidence and competence with young horses is essential as well as prior knowledge and experience with competing horses.
Hours are typically 7:30am - 3pm, days are flexible but will include working 1 weekend day. Hours and days can be flexible, minimum hours of 25 and maximum of 48.
Pay increase can be discussed after a probationary period.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
