Summary
Job Overview:
Role: Production Operative
Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire
Shift Pattern:
12-hour shifts
4 days on, 3 days off then 3 days on, 4 days off.
(6-week rotating schedule)
Pay: Competitive hourly rate with enhanced overtime
Start Date: End of January/February 2026
Type: Permanent
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Feeding raw materials from 25kg bags, starting, monitoring, and stopping production equipment.
Assembly & Packing: Packing finished products. The majority of packing is in 20kg bags, this will require the candidate to lift and shift large volumes of bags per shift and stack onto pallets.
Quality Control: Visually inspecting products for contamination, stacking the products uniformly on pallets and ensuring they meet standards.
Maintenance: Performing clean downs on machinery and reporting faults.
Safety & Compliance: Following strict health, safety, and food hygiene protocols.
Fork Lift: Some fork lift truck driving will be required to load/unload deliveries, move pallets for wrapping, load pallets of raw materials onto the mezzanine for loading and moving pallets into stock.
Essential Skills & Attributes
Attention to Detail: Spotting errors and ensuring high-quality output.
Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift 25kg and 20kg bags and perform repetitive movements. The majority of the work is very physical so the ideal candidate needs to be fit and able to lift a large volume of bags all day.
Methodical Approach: Following instructions accurately.
Communication: Reporting issues and progress.
