Immigration Support Worker (Level 6)
Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Immigration Support Worker (Level 6) to join our team in providing essential support services to individuals navigating the complexities of immigration processes. In this role, you will work with diverse populations, offering guidance on application procedures and legal frameworks while ensuring that clients are informed and empowered throughout their immigration journey. You will provide culturally sensitive assistance to address the specific needs of various communities, enhancing their understanding of immigration laws and policies. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically will be crucial as you work closely with clients who may be dealing with anxiety and uncertainty regarding their immigration status. You will collaborate with other professionals in the field to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support, including access to resources for employment, education, and community integration. As a Level 6 Immigration Support Worker, you will also contribute to the development and implementation of programs aimed at increasing public awareness about immigration issues and advocating for the rights of immigrants. Responsibilities
Provide information and support to clients regarding immigration applications and processes.
Assist clients in completing forms and preparing documentation required for immigration procedures.
Conduct assessments to understand the individual needs of clients seeking immigration support.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to provide ongoing support and follow-up services.
Collaborate with legal professionals and community organizations to facilitate client access to resources.
Create and deliver workshops and informational sessions about immigration laws and procedures.
Document case notes and maintain accurate records of client interactions and support provided.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, law, or a related field preferred.
Experience working in immigration support or a related sector.
Strong understanding of immigration laws and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy and cultural sensitivity.
Ability to handle multiple cases and manage time effectively.
Proficient in using office software and case management systems.
Fluency in a second language relevant to the client population is a plus.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £32.69
