Summary

We're looking for a Digital Change and Implementation Manager to make sure new digital services land smoothly and deliver real benefits. You'll plan and coordinate deployments, work closely with service teams, and embed agile ways of working across DWP. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll manage priorities, coach others, and help shape strategies for iterative releases.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Change Communication Planning & Delivery - Experienced in creating and executing communication plans for large-scale IT changes. Identifies and applies the most effective delivery methods, measures outcomes, and adapts when approaches do not work. Promotes a culture of experimentation, resilience, and continuous improvement.

You and your role

We're looking for a Digital Change and Implementation Manager to help deliver successful business implementation of digital services across DWP. In this role, you'll work with multiple Digital Service teams and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure deployments are well-planned, aligned with sprint delivery, and meet operational needs. You'll play a key role in driving collaboration across organisational boundaries and embedding agile ways of working.

You'll lead adaptive deployment planning, manage priorities and conflicts, and ensure changes are delivered at pace without compromising quality. You'll support the development of strategies for MVP releases and iterative enhancements, working closely with service teams to realise benefits identified in business cases. You'll also take ownership of your own learning and development, coaching and mentoring others in best practice for change and implementation.

This role sits within the DWP Place team, an internal platform powered by ServiceNow. Knowledge of ServiceNow IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery, and Security models is preferred.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Manchester, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £46,547

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
