About the Role :
The role will focus on reviewing casework, identifying areas of good practice, and highlighting where improvements are needed. You'll work closely with managers and frontline practitioners to support learning, drive continuous improvement, and embed strengths‑based, legally compliant practice across Adult Social Care. This is an ideal role for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the confidence to challenge, influence, and support teams to deliver excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct audits, case file reviews, and thematic evaluations across adult social care teams.
- Use agreed quality assurance tools to assess compliance with local and national standards.
- Undertake announced and unannounced visits to care providers and community services.
- Practice Improvement

- Work collaboratively with practitioners, managers, and providers to develop action plans.
- Support learning and development initiatives based on audit findings.
- Data & Reporting
- Analyse performance data and produce reports for senior leadership and governance boards.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards and KPIs to track service quality.
- Present findings at internal and external meetings, including safeguarding and commissioning forums.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, external providers, service users, and carers.
- Promote co-production and feedback from people with lived experience.
- Ensure services meet statutory requirements under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding legislation.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to safeguarding enquiries and reviews.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference by driving high‑quality, person‑centred practice across Adult Social Care and ensuring that the people we support receive safe, consistent, and empowering services.
What We are Looking For :

- Strong experience as a Senior Practitioner within Adult Social Care, with a solid understanding of strengths‑based and legally compliant practice.
- Proven ability to review, analyse, and quality‑assure casework, identifying both good practice and areas for improvement.
- Confidence in offering constructive challenge and professional guidance to support practitioners and managers.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and build positive working relationships across teams and partner agencies.
- A reflective, solution‑focused approach, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes and ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred support.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
