Summary


Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist - 22.5 Hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our team providing care for children and young people with epilepsy, and support the lead Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist with their management, treatment and care.

This role will utilise specialist clinical skills and encompass an education and support role for children and families with a diagnosis of epilepsy. The post holder will also liaise with and provide information, training and education to professionals in a range of hospital and community settings.

The post holder will work alongside and support the Lead Paediatric Epilepsy Nurse Specialist as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide an effective and supportive service to children and young people with epilepsy, their families and carers, in both hospital and community settings.

They will provide clinical guidance and expert knowledge in assessing, implementing and evaluating the needs of this patient group. They will provide specialist clinical skills, teaching, education and support to enable families, carers and other professionals, to engage in managing the needs of children and young people to achieve the best quality life, health and wellbeing while living with a diagnosis of epilepsy.
