Summary
The Deputy Chief Nurse is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, high-value patient care across the Trust, deputising for the Chief Nurse as needed, and leading the management and development of nursing teams and services within the Chief Nurses portfolio. The role involves providing visible professional leadership, influencing policy and practice both within and outside the Trust, supporting clinical governance, driving service improvements, and acting as a resource for senior staff. The Deputy Chief Nurse leads on recruitment, education, and professional development, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards, all while modelling the Trusts values and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice and patient care.
