Summary
This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity for a registered mental health Band 5 nurse to participate in the Croydon nursing rotation scheme where your skills and experience will develop your nursing career in Croydon. Through this rotational opportunity, you will gain experience in a range of different services, there is the opportunity to develop the required competencies to be able to apply for a band 6 post.
In keeping with our obligations under the new Coronavirus Regulations 2021 in relation to Care Home visits, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of full vaccination status against Covid-19
You will be able to develop your clinical skills and experience working with varied and complex mental health presentations within a multi-disciplinary crisis, inpatient and community teams. The rotational scheme means you work in 3 different settings for a 6 months’ period each. The settings are Community, inpatient and home treatment team. At the end of the rotational period, there will be opportunity to be supported into a band 6 role dependent on meeting the required competencies get a band 6 post if the required competencies are met.

The post holder will deliver high quality safe nursing care, ensuring
consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct. The role includes leading the delivery of comprehensive service user assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centered care in a collaborative way. The post holder will co-ordinate a first class service that includes assessment and monitoring of physical health, maintaining service users rights, supervising junior staff and students, working collaboratively with the Multi Disciplinary Team and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment and accurate records.
